Effective April 22, 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency stated that firms performing renovations, repairs, or painting in pre-1978 homes and child-occupied facilities must be certified and use lead-safe work practices. This federal law requires contractors working in those environments to be certified and use lead-safe work practices. KDS currently employs three people certified by the EPA in lead safety.

Safety Record

The link below shows the Worker’s Compensation Premium Status: Experience Factor History over the past ten years. The L&I website calculates an experience factor based off of comparing a company’s accident costs to the average costs of other companies in the same risk classification. An experience factor lower than 1.0, such as Ketchikan Drywall Services Inc. shows the company has a lower-than-average claim cost.
